" When the Mediterranean Grill first opened it offered good quality food like homemade Moussaka and Lasagne. They've now introduced a new "Taste Republic" menu which is dire. Low quality food brought straight in on the back of a 3663 lorry and reheated on the premises. I've has better pub grub. For a supposedly 4 star Hilton hotel the food here is a disgrace, even the staff are embarrassed to serve it. AVOID. "

There is actually nothing Mediterranean about the Mediterranean Grill apart from the name.
When parking the entrance is quite nice but on entry from the car park you are faced with an empty room that is set for breakfast, and a long bar that is not in use, after walking round it you quickly realize that this set up is mainly for hotel guests.
If you want a drink before dining you have to walk down a long corridor to the hotel reception where The Lounge Bar is open charging west end prices for run if the mill drinks, really Mr Hilton £4 for a coke and £9 for a glass of wine, no wonder you have to promote via things like taste card.
To be honest when we actually sat to eat the food was good, and service friendly.
However like many other hotel restaurants it was overpriced and thankfully we had our Taste discount.
So whilst we enjoyed the food we would probably not return unless the management realize that they could offer so much more to non residents by way of creating a more welcoming arrival experience. "

" I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. From the front of house, who was very friendly and informative to our waitress, who was wonderful (giving the kids, who ate for free, the same dessert as my wife had from the main menu), I cannot fault anything. Oh, by the way, the food and portions, were spot on too. The wine list was a bit pricey, but I'm being really picky now. "

" The menu here has shrunk over the time I've been coming. Now very limited and not a patch on what it was like previously. The starters are small and the mains even smaller. Tasteless steaks served only with a handful of chips and half a tomato! At full price it would be a rip off. Staff always friendly and the service good but sadly they can no longer make up for the poor choice and quality of the food. "
