With over 25 years’ experience in the Indian food business, the owners of Palki are aware of the importance of good, authentic food. The chefs use minimal oil to create healthy curries and add creative touches to their dishes; such as the inventive addition of coriander, mint, garlic and chilli yogurt sauce to accompany the poppadoms.
A popular choice are the sizzling barbecued lamb and chicken dishes; with onion, pepper and tomatoes, as well as the succulent butter chicken.
The restaurant also boasts a well-stocked bar and is well worth a visit for lovers of tasty Indian cuisine.

D:"Falling quality and poor service I have been going to Palki for as long as ten years now as they are a neighbourhood curry house. My wife and I have always enjoyed going there but we won’t be going there any more. Went there last night and it was noticeable that they treated regulars like us who are Tastecard holders with disdain. We ordered two starters, two mains and a side as well as pappodums. For some reason, they forgot to bring the pappodums. When I reminded them, one of the waiters said that the mains are on their way and it’s best not to spoil our appetite. Found it a strange recommendation but I took him at his word. Food didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes. Lots of takeaway food were coming out of the kitchen and when our mains finally arrived, the portions were smaller than usual and the vegetable curry was watery and there were sediments in them. My wife spit out three small hard sediments from her curry. Really disappointed by the service and the quality of the food. We’ve noticed the downturn in their quality in our last few visits and last night was the nadir. Won’t be stepping foot in there ever again. What’s the point of being treated like second class citizens when you have a tastecard????"

Baa:"Incredible experience time and time again. I have been going to this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and full of flavour and the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The last time I was there I was warmed by the way the owner welcomed families and made the children feel special with little treats."

Philipp:"Nothing Special We had take out from this restaurant, where the tastecard does not apply, which is fair. However, for around 28 pounds we got a bit of mixed grill, mixed starters, which are essentially the same, rice, nan bread, spinach, and chicken tikka masala, which was the best of the bunch but by no means great. Half price would have been ok for what we got yet I would still not go back."
