Andrew:"Unpretentious, Freshly Cooked Pub Grub! My girlfriend and I decided to come here since she had to catch a train from King's Cross. We chose this place as the menu seemed like good honest pub food. We weren't disappointed.
We walked into a place and it was like a local. Very friendly and clearly an LGBT pub that was gearing up for Friday night partying with a bit of karaoke. Whilst very cool, we went upstairs where it was quieter. The food was lovely. I had a Cesar salad and my girlfriend had a kind of mezzo mix and we both had drinks. I ordered at the bar (showing the tastecard) and It came to £7 a head. It was freshly cooked and the staff were friendly and attentive with a genuine manner. The portions were a good size too. The only regret was that we didn't join in the fun downstairs! Even when we were being sourpusses upstairs, which was quiet, we were made to feel very welcome.
As we left a man outside stopped us (I had a suitcase for my other half), asked if we had looked to stay there and could he do anything to help. They have rooms and he had tried to accommodate us and ensure our standards were met, assuming we had looked to stay! We weren't but it certainly impressed us! Not somewhere for a celebratory meal but honest, good quality, friendly and well priced."

Faisal:"Great Food Hard Card Arrived on Friday evening before 7. Manager said we had to book and it's not available on Fridays. Once I had showed him that the taste card offer didn't mention any exclusions. He reluctantly offered a table and said we had to be quick as he had a lot of bookings. By the time we ate and finished there was still lots of empty tables ! So Why the rush. Food was really good, enjoyed very much. Lamb shank came with curry flavoured sauce :)"

Chris:"Update...still fantastic Decided to go back the following night with a different group of friends, and try the upstairs bar/restaurant area. It's much quieter, with plenty of space between the tables, and has it's own bar. The food was just as good, and the sound of the lively downstairs bar and karaoke (where we finished of a great night) could barely be heard. Another great, but different night. Highly recommended."
