The location couldn't be better for those spending a day at the nearby British Museum whilst local office workers adore the place for a tasty after work curry and cold beer. Expect a good mix of traditional old favourites and a range of more innovative regional dishes at the New Little India Restaurant, where great care is taken to ensure only the very freshest of ingredients are used. Spice fans will adore the amazing phall, cooked with the hottest of red chillies and certain to blow anyone's head off. For something a little less potent, the Sri Lankan Ceylon sauce with lemon and coconut is delightful whilst the egg curry is a real surprise, cooked with a wonderful rich sauce. The house dish is the Little India Special, comprising of a marinated chicken cooked in a delicious medium sauce whilst the Bangladeshi deep fried boal fish is well worth a try. Traditional arched seats are a reminder that this is a curry house whilst wooden flooring is a pleasant step away from the usual carpeted floors. Tables are topped with fresh white linens and a small vase of fresh flowers add a homely touch. Service is excellent, with plenty of help in menus choices.
