Enjoy 2 for 1 meals with tastecard.
On the map for its iconic music and fashion scene, Manchester’s got loads to offer when it comes to food too. From make-your-jaw-drop dessert joints to spots with best hearty food around, we’ve rounded up a few of the best independent restaurants in Manchester. And you can use your tastecard to get 2 for 1 meals at all of them.
You know that scene in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory when they head into the Chocolate room with the chocolate river and edible plants? Yeah, that’s pretty much what a trip to Black Milk is like.
We’re big into the Brownie S’mores Stack. A mound of freshly baked chocolate fudge brownie, torched marshmallows, molten chocolate, cream and cookie dough ice cream. If that doesn’t break your diet, we don’t know what will.
Offer: 2 for 1 meals, Sunday – Thursday
Owned by Corrie actress, Jenny McAlpine, you can’t really get much more Manc than Annies. Serving up some of the best British grub you can get your chops around, the menu features everything from pies and steaks to sea bass and salads.
Our fave is the ol’ faithful Cottage Pie. Packed with beef, peas and carrots, topped with velvety Maris Pipers and served with seasonal veg and gravy, it goes down a real treat.
Oh, and the décor’s pretty adorable too.
Offer: 2 for 1 meals, 7 days a week
For the sweet, sunny taste of España, head to Evuna on Deansgate. Spoilt for choice is an understatement when it comes to their menu, treating foodies to a selection of classics like paella, fish and meat dishes, and our favourite: tapas.
If you skip straight to the tapas section as well, make sure Carrillada de Cerdo (Iberian Pork Cheeks for non-Spanish speakers, like us) is one of the 547 dishes you order.
Offer: 2 for 1 meals, excluding Monday – Thursday
