Here's the movies we're excited about this month.

From spinetingling thrillers like IT Chapter 2 to long-awaited period dramas like Downton Abbey, find out which films are hitting cinema screens this September. It looks to be a big month for films, so make sure you bag those tickets with your tastecard and get up to 40% off. 

Ad Astra.

On a mission to find his missing father, astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) ventures to the outer edges of the solar system in Ad Astra. Hoping to solve a mystery that threatens Earth’s survival, he uncovers secrets that could challenge the existence of humans.

IT Chapter 2.

Back for more terror and sinister smiles, Pennywise returns to Derry, Maine, 27 years after being defeated by the Losers’ Club, to cause more havoc. Having long-gone their separate ways, the childhood friends come together again to try and destroy Pennywise in his new shape-shifting form in IT Chapter 2.

The Goldfinch.

The film adaptation of Donna Tartt’s novel and winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, The Goldfinch, hits the big screen this September. When 13 year old Theodore Decker loses his mum to a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, life takes on a big change. Taken in by a wealthy family and facing grief, guilt, love and travel, he has one constant – The Goldfinch painting.

Ready or Not.

After a pretty blissful wedding day, Grace just has one thing left to do on her big day – survive the night and play hide & seek with her new in-laws. It’s finally here, the spin-off to the nation’s favourite series: Downton Abbey, the movie. The Crawleys are back, but this time on the big screen, serving up more of the polite chit-chat, extravagant dinner parties and somewhat tame-scandal we all love. The plot? King George V and Queen Mary pay a visit to Downton Abbey and cause a bit of a kerfuffle between the Crawleys and their servants.
