A beautiful Italian flower, the Amalia is certainly an apt inspiration for the restaurant that bears its name, due to the captivating sense of floral décor found within. The menu is awash with a taste bud tantalising array of Italian indulgences, ranging from the classic to the contemporary. Begin the experience with one of the sublime starters, featuring the likes of the juicy polpette al Pomodoro, pork & beef meatballs adorned with a tomato sauce, the sumptuous crocchette di pollo, chicken croquettes complete with homemade breadcrumbs, a Bechamel sauce and a garlic mayonnaise, and the irresistible Breton mussels, cooked in a garlic & white wine sauce with a hint of chilli. Just as deliciously diverse are the main courses, which offer a sensational selection of pizzas, pasta dishes, seafood options and much, much more. Particularly merit worthy meals include the tender Costolette di Maiale con Barbecue, Amalia's famous slow cooked pork ribs topped with an orange & barbecue sauce and paired with a choice of sweet potato fries or pan roasted new potatoes, the heavenly tortellini al Quattro formaggi, a tortellini stuffed with Ricotta & spinach and finished with a four cheese sauce, and the delectable filleto de brazino, a grilled fillet of sea bass complete with garlic & chilli enriched king prawns.
