The Jovial Colliers Inn is a cosy and friendly pub situated in the striking Forest of Dean, in the heart of the Wye Valley. Recently refurbished the pub retains many of its original features including its stone walls, beams and original fireplaces one of which houses a huge wood burning stove. At the rear of the pub there is a lovely terraced beer garden with a BBQ area. As well as good, reasonably priced food and beer the pub also has very affordable accommodation in its bunkhouse, which was formally the pub's skittle alley. The pub is located in the friendly village of Lydbrook which has a rich history of coal mining, tin plate works, chemical works and forges but is now a peaceful residential village.
