Ma Egerton's is one of Liverpool's most famous pubs. Originally opening as the Eagle Hotel in the mid 1800's. It took its current name from the Irish landlady who resided over the premises for many years from the 1930's. Ma Egerton's is located in a desirable position beside Liverpool Lime Street Railway station and behind the Empire Theatre. Many fascinating stories surround Ma Egerton's, including the landlady's past in Liverpool's golden era at the turn of last century; her part in bringing Victorian mass murderer Dr Crippen to justice and all of the old-Hollywood celebrity patrons (Clarke Gable, Fred Astaire, James Cagney, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland etc who's pictures still adorn the walls) to the pub being stalked by Paparazzi when American actress Pamela Anderson visited Ma Egerton's. These have helped make this pub thoroughly unique and Ma Egerton Liverpool's most famous landlady. With a traditional pub atmosphere Ma Egerton's is a fabulous place to go, whether it be a meal with a group of friends or a family outing. They specialise in making beautiful stone base pizzas, using hand stretched dough. With generous toppings and Italian style thin bases your taste buds will be tingling once you try one! Each pizza is inspired by past patrons, which goes down great with an alcohol beverage or two. Get a table booked now for an experience you will not forget.
