Superbly located right on Bridgnorth High Street, within half an hour of Wolverhampton, Telford and Kidderminster, Peepo Pizza Cafe and Bar serves up both authentic and innovative Italian fare, which is sourced locally from Bridgnorth's Deli, or imported straight from Italy. The atmosphere is airy and modern inside Peepo, thanks to a monochrome decorative scheme. Surfaces are topped with potted plants and artwork adorns the clean, white walls. Despite the contemporary feel of the cafe, the cafe and bar still maintains a friendly, relaxed and rustic charm. Diners can indulge in a wonderful sharing platter for starters, such as their meat antipasti, perfect for groups of two to six. Featuring Milano salami, Prosciutto ham, chorizo, olives and a selection of warm breads, its the perfect appetiser. Moving on to main courses, expect plenty of freshly prepared pasta: Peepo cooks up classics such as meat lasagne and seafood linguine with garlic and chilli, as well as a few more unique options, such as the chorizo, broccoli and chilli conchiglie, topped with a chicken breast. Peepo's pizzas are also prepared fresh, using a special low-gluten ?00? Italian flour, which helps keep the dough rustically crispy on the outside, and light and springy on the inside. Meat lovers will be spoiled for choice by the selection, since there's all sorts of creations including pulled pork, meatballs, Bolognese and jalapeno, spicy sausage and even Asian duck. Those with a fancy for something a little lighter or perhaps more classic can opt for a pizza topped with prosciutto, fresh olives or blue cheese. Seafood lovers will also rejoice, since the kitchen offers mouth-watering mussels, and pan-fried seabass fillet with parmesan and creamed spinach. Also highly-recommended by regulars, is Pepo's famous parmesan and truffle oil posh chips.
