Bridgend has its fair share of Indian restaurants, but none of them can compete with the quality and variety of Exotic Shaad. True to its name, the proud indie restaurant is keen to dish out happiness and exciting flavours and to their diners with a mix of regional south Indian specialities, tandoori grills and more. With so much to offer for the whole family, it's bound to become a new favourite. Days out with the kids are sure to be better when families end it with dining out in Bridgend. The restaurant conveniently located in the heart of town, with Brecon Mountain Railway, the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and Dyffryn Gardens all an easy drive away. And with the train station just a six-minute walk away, it takes the guesswork out of impromptu meals after work with friends. The restaurant may look unassuming from the outside, but diners will be pleased to find that it's one of the more contemporary places to eat in Bridgend. The dining room is very clean and modern, with an intimate atmosphere that will be welcome on date nights and a buzz that will enhance dinner parties, birthdays and other celebrations. Staff are also very friendly and will be happy to recommend dishes to new diners. While Exotic Shaad's menu offers many classics to satisfy old school curry fans, the real gems lie in their regional dishes. They specialise in traditional gems from the south of India, which offer a punchy, aromatic and lighter alternative to the usual northern Indian fare that is typical of most Indian restaurants. Their chicken Chettinadu is a must for diners that crave a fiery burn. But if that's not enough, their Bengal Nagajhol should do the trick with its naga chilli-infused sauce. For quality Indian cuisine and hospitality at prices that won't break the bank, there's no better choice in Bridgend than Exotic Shaad. Any occasion will be even more of a treat for tastecard members who can look forward to exclusive restaurant savings when they call to book ahead and present their cards upon arrival. It's a good chance to treat themselves to extra pilau rice, extra starters to share or another round.
