Situated in Havant, Hampshire, Red Chilli is a fantastic Bangladeshi restaurant that opened in August 2013. Originally a public house, Red Chilli has been lovingly renovated by a keen team of hard workers with an eye for design. The aim of the owners has always been the same ? to provide diners with an authentic dining experience, whether they are Havant locals or are travelling from afar. Although all food served here is traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, the decor has more of a contemporary feel. The owners thought it best to bring two worlds together, with rustic food in a modern venue. Whether you have tried Bangladeshi before or you are trying something new, they want you to feel right at home. The menu at Red Chilli really is impressive. Each dish is cooked using a minimum amount of oil and where possible, dishes are fat free. When preparing dishes, the chef takes into consideration the taste and flavour as well as the presentation. From the appetisers, try the Chom Chom Chat Chicken, with spicy chicken cooked with light tamarind sauce, chat mossola, fresh coriander, tomato and chick peas. A favourite from the main courses is the Honey Duck, sweet and spicy flavoured duck cooked in honey and black pepper sauce with cubes of onion and green peppers.
